On September 25, 2010 the Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum hosted their 7th annual Night Photo Shoot. Fourteen photographers from Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Jersey converged on Willimantic, CT for an evening of photography, while at the same time supporting the museum’s future operations.

This one is from back on September 2nd – yep, still catching up on stuff. Over my past trips down to New Jersey, I’ve met a few local railfans down there, and every Thursday a group gets together to watch & photograph trains at Bound Brook station. I figured that […]
Back on the 3rd and 5th of August, 80 cars of loaded ethanol made their way over the New England Central and Providence & Worcester Railroads, and were delivered to their destination in Providence, Rhode Island. Well, on both days I managed to get shots of the two moonshine moves […]
Continuing on the backlog here – but instead of what I would normally do and make one post for each “outing,” instead I’m putting together one massive post with a week’s full of shots in it. Basically taking care of pretty much the entire backlog in one fell swoop. In […]
On Saturday July 10th, there were a number of Independence Day fireworks displays planned, including New London and my hometown of Lebanon. Since we usually go to the hometown show, New London was out for us this year. So that would also mean I’d miss shooting the New England Central […]
I recently took a few photos of the Greek Orthodox Chapel of the Three Heirarchs at the University of Connecticut for some publicity material. As some of you may know, I’ve got a personal connection to this chapel and Hellenic Education Center – not only did I help build the complex […]
Here’s Part III from last Wednesday. After having a great evening of conversation, beer & cigars with Railfan & Railroad magazine editor Steve Barry at JR Cigar in Whippany, NJ, the rain continued to fall. So I figured a stop by the Whippany Railroad Museum was out of the question. […]
With some time to kill Monday night down in Collegeville, I did a bit of research on what was in the area railroad-wise. I found an excursion line – the West Chester Railroad – about 30 minutes from the hotel. I figured it was worth a ride down there to […]
Last Friday night the last cut of 40 ethanol cars made their way into Palmer, MA on the New England Central Railroad where a fresh crew picked them up for the trip south to New London, CT (for a look back at the previous 40 cars, click here and here). […]
Slowly getting back up to speed with the posts here. Work is still hectic, but after work on Wednesday I managed to get out and catch a little New England Central Railroad action in the form of an ethanol extra. Then later that evening, I joined a couple friends in […]
