Something happened on the way to the dentist

Friday I had a dental appointment. So I had to leave work a bit early.  As luck had it, Providence & Worcester train NR-2 was leaving Tilcon in Groton as I was leaving the parking lot, getting ready to head home.  I figured it was worth a shot to try and catch them on the way to the dentist.

Short story is that I got ahead of NR-2 enough to shoot them heading north along the Thames River at Stoddard Hill in Ledyard.  The one different thing was that I used a new “perch” to shoot them as they headed upstream.  The angle is decent – the only problem is there’s a ton of brush along the tracks that got in the way, but I managed to work around them.  Here’s the results:

After they were out of sight to the north, I made the hike back to the car, and made it to the dentists with about 10 minutes to spare.
