Still playing catchup here. This past Tuesday I took the wife & kids to watch the Mystic Aquarium release a harbor seal back into the wild. This is the seal that was found beached in Bridgeport with a gunshot wound to his eye. Once he was brought back to health, the aquarium released him back into the ocean. The kids enjoyed it, and got on the front page of the Westerly Sun newspaper, and on the broadcast story for Channel 3 (WFSB) and Channel 30 (WTNH) in Connecticut and Channel 6 (WLNE) in Rhode Island. Pretty good for a 2 and 4 year old, eh?
So here’s the photos of the release. It took place at Blue Shutters beach in Westerly, RI. Yep, my boots got wet taking most of these photos – glad I wore the waterproof ones!

Thanks for looking!
