Might be time to build an ark

Water, water everywhere, and not a drop to…well, I guess you could drink this if you really had to (apologies to Samuel Taylor Coleridge).  If you’re anywhere along the eastern US coast, you’ve been subjected to days and days of rain.  Well, all that rain, along with melting snow up north, is causing us some flooding problems down here in the Nutmeg State.  Just seems to be water everywhere it shouldn’t be.

But like yesterday, the water falling from the skies didn’t stop me from getting out and shooting a bit.  Actually, it all started on my way into work, when as I was crossing over the tracks on Route 87 in Franklin, I noticed the Susquetonscut Brook was more like raging rapids.  So I had to stop & get a couple shots.

Now that’s a ton of water!

A little later on I was able to get out for a bit – but I missed P&W NR-2 – by the time I got around to getting out, they were already in East Lyme.  But NR-3 was in the picture.  So I headed up to Stoddard Cove to get a few broadside shots of them passing by in the pouring rain.  And while waiting, I got a few swan pictures – they didn’t seem to mind the rain much at all.
