Exhibit at the Marlborough Arts Center

One of the things keeping me busy lately has been getting ready for a gallery exhibit at the Marlborough Arts Center in Marlborough, CT.  A little while back, I was honored to be invited to submit some of my prints to their first annual photography show – and of course I accepted their invitation.  I’ll be exhibiting six prints – all related to railroads – in MAC’s first annual Photo Expo being held on weekends between March 31 and May 6, 2012 from 1-4pm (excluding Easter Sunday).  There will also be a Photographer’s Reception held on Friday April 13, 2012 from 7-9pm.  Here’s a larger version of the invitation with all the information on it, including times, address, etc.  I’ll be at the reception on the 13th, as well as sitting at the gallery a couple of the weekend spots.  If you can make it down, let me know and I’ll try to make it a point to meet you there.

In choosing the photos for this exhibit, I tried to show a variety of subject matter and shooting situations – scenic, abstract, night and showing motion, and all were printed on larger formats – most on 11×17 framed to 16×20, and one printed 13×19 framed to 20×30.  Railroads depicted include the Valley Railroad/Essex Steam Train, Providence & Worcester, New England Central and Amtrak.

I’ve also donated a seventh print to the MAC in support of their fund-raising raffle.  The raffle will be raising funds for the Center – be sure to purchase a ticket if you make it down!

Hope to see some of you there!

Thanks!
Tom
