Flashback to 2002 – American Orient Express video

I was going through some old files on one of my PCs, and I came across some video.  So I encoded it and uploaded it to YouTube.  I’ll be doing this every now & then just to mix things up a bit.  Trust me, it’s not the greatest stuff (there’s a reason why I only experimented with video and only stuck with stills), but I figure it would be a nice change of pace.

For the first installment, here’s a chase of the American Orient Express back on September 1, 2002.  The chase begins in Palmer, MA and continues south to Mansfield Depot, CT, where I abandoned getting video in favor of only shooting slides (I was doing both between Palmer & Mansfield Depot).  This was the first deadhead move south for the AOE’s fall foliage tour.  The train would head south to New London, where the dome car was cut out of the train.  From there, Amtrak took it to Providence over the Northeast Corridor where the passengers would board.  They’d then head back to New London, put the dome back on – it was cut out because of height issues – and head north.  Anyways, here’s some video of the chase of the deadhead move.
