Flashback – Inside the Obs Car

Not sure what made me think of this slide, but I dug it out and gave it a scan tonight. It’s of the interior of the Providence & Worcester Railroad’s observation car New Englander loaded with passengers speeding down the tracks. It was taken on October 18, 2003 on a Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum sponsored trip that went from Plainfield, down to Red Top in Groton, up to Gardner and back to Plainfield.

If you’re curious about the details, I shot it on Fuji Provia 100F slide film, using my Canon EOS Elan 7 camera and a Canon 28-135mm IS USM lens. I was also using a Sunpak flash to light things up. If memory serves me correct, it was taken between Plainfield and Worcester. But it was more than 4 years ago, so I could be wrong…
