A train, reflection and a swan at Stoddard

Last Thursday was another beautiful morning, and I was able to take advantage of it by taking a walk and shooting Providence & Worcester train NR-2 in Ledyard.  As the tide timing worked out, I was able to get a nice angle at Stoddard Cove of NR-2 heading south through Ledyard.

Since it’s been a bit since I shot these, I’ll be quick.  I got down to Stoddard about 10 minutes ahead of NR-2, so that gave me enough time to walk down the river, and around the south rim of Stoddard Cove.  That gave me a nice nearly broadside view of the causeway.  And while I was waiting, a pair of swans were paddling around the cove.  Of course, they decided to head out to the river side just before the train came into view.  But at the last second, one came back and put itself into the right position for a couple shots.  OK, that’s enough typing – here’s the pictures.
