Well, my schedule was quite packed yesterday, so I didn’t get out for my usual interception of Providence & Worcester train NR-2 on the Norwich Branch. But I did catch a Los Angeles class fast attack submarine heading back to the Sub Base in Groton on the way into work. Hey, it’s better than nothing…and at least I got to take advantage of the nice sunny skies.
Like the other day, I noticed that the Thames River drawbridge was in the open position for river traffic. So I headed off of the first exit on the Groton side of the river and got onto Thames Street. As I was heading south, something on the river caught my eye – a large black thing. Yep, the sail on a US Navy Los Angeles class fast attack submarine! So I turned around, and headed for Military Highway to get a few shots before heading into the office.
We’ll do this the quick & dirty way – here’s the pictures!
