Test driving a Speed Graphic

Just a teaser tonight – more tomorrow night. I did get out for my walk today, and did catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2 in Ledyard and across the Thames River drawbridge. But most of the shots I took were on my Graflex Pacemaker 23 Speed Graphic – click here for info on this particular camera if you’re curious (and the digitals stunk to high-heaven, so they won’t be seeing the light of day). I processed the roll of film tonight (also confirming that I screwed up two shots by leaving the dark slide in as I clicked and cranked away…), and it came out pretty sweet! Here’s one quick scan of NR-2 rolling along Mill Cove in Ledyard.

I’ve got another at the Cove, and a couple down by the drawbridge. Of course, the two I screwed up were the only ones of NR-2 crossing the river. Oh, well…next time.

Anyways, there’s at least 2 more frames I want to scan in tomorrow night and post. At only 8 frames per roll, there’s not many to choose from – it’s a far cry from a 2GB CF card that holds over 200 RAW images! I’ll post another thread when that happens. Stay tuned!

Thanks!
Tom
