Friday morning on my way into work, I noticed something odd while crossing over the Thames River on the Gold Star Bridge. So a quick ride down Thames Street was in order to investigate.

Getting closer…now we’re up to what I shot last week! Providence & Worcester train NR-2 shifted their schedule recently. They’re now coming into Groton around 8:30AM, which actually makes it easier for me to get out and catch them a bit more often than I have been. So last week, […]
Catching up, volume 2 (of 90 or so…not really, only 4 more after this). This’ll be a quickie, though. The cruise ship, Explorer of the Seas, made another port of call in New London back on August 1st. I caught it tying up to the State Pier that morning, along […]
Yeah, you guessed it, I’m behind again. Time for a flurry of updates over the next day or so to catch up. Here’s installment #1 on that batch – from July 31st. That was a day that Nick Palazini, David Telesha and Jon (I can’t for the life of me […]
Last weekend – July 26th to be precise – was the magazine Railroads Illustrated’s Day In North America feature. This is when the magazine picks one day and tells photographers to go out and shoot on that day. They then publish one issue with basically a cross-section of railroading on […]
Well, here’s another quickie post. At least I’m getting to expose a few pixels lately – it has been a while since I’ve been out. I did leave work early again to help out with the family emergency of yesterday, but I didn’t catch any trains.
Well, as usual, I got out for my walk this morning and headed for the close-by Erickson Park in Ledyard. Unlike yesterday, I was able to catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2 heading south as I wrapped up my walk. The timing worked out so that I was able to […]
[cpg_imagefixthumb:3218] Running a bit behind, here’s a quick update for yesterday (5/30/07). No train pictures were had on my walk, but I did get one shot of the tugboat David heading north in a very calm Thames River. Aparently P&W NR-2 was running quite late, so I didn’t have time […]
Headed out at my usual time this morning to take my walk, and catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2 heading south in Ledyard. The timing worked out great so I could get a good walk in, then shoot the train rolling south along Mill Cove under a gorgeous blue sky.
Two times in one day – not too bad. Got lucky this afternoon, and caught Providence & Worcester train NR-2 in New London as I was leaving work. Pretty good way to finish off the workday, and welcome in the long holiday weekend.
