OK, last one to catch up on! This was after the snowstorm – which lasted from Sunday night until Monday night (don’t ask about pictures during the storm – that was a fiasco!). And the sun was shining bright on Tuesday, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to catch […]
New England Central
More catching up. Back on March 1st, we had a nice little snowstorm that dumped about 10″ of the white stuff on us. As it was kicking off on Sunday night, I headed out to see how shooting in the snow with the Lumedyne would work out. My target was […]
No, I’m not talking about Nickelodeon’s nighttime show lineup, but rather out shooting with fellow rail photographer Nick Palazini. Nick & I are working on a joint project for a magazine, and needed to go over some images on Sunday night. So after we were done, we figured we’d brave […]
I had to run a couple errands tonight in Willimantic, so on my way home, I swung by the New England Central base of operations here in southeastern Connecticut – South Windham. Of course, while there, I took a few pictures of a NECR train waiting for a fresh crew […]
Had to run out and do a couple errands in Willimantic tonight, so I threw the camera bag and Lumedyne bag in the car on the way out of the house. You never know what you’ll run into in Willimantic.
OK, now that we’re squarely into 2009, I’ve got a couple sets of pictures from the last two days of 2008 to post. Both days I caught 3 trains – Providence & Worcester train NR-2 and a pair of Amtrak Acelas – trains 2155 and 2190, all in the Groton/New […]
I had to run an errand in Willimantic tonight, so I was hoping to catch at least the two New England Central jobs in town. On the way in, I could hear NECR 608 working in the south end of the yard, but no sign of 610, or Providence & […]
This past Saturday night, Bob LaMay and I braved the wind & rain, and headed up to Worcester for a little night photo session. Up there, we met up with a few other photographers, and proceeded to take a few shots before the rain really started to come down. And […]
And we continue on the catch-up trek. Now we’re up to the 28th of October when I had to head up to Weston, MA for an EMC conference. Of course, the camera bag came along, despite the crappy weather. But would I find any trains to shoot?
Playing a bit of catch-up here. These shots are from last week – the 15th and 16th, of Providence & Worcester train NR-2 in Ledyard, Groton and New London, and a tied down New England Central train NERWNE in South Windham.
