Another sunny, but cold morning today. Not quite as windy as it had been, but still pretty cold. And there’s still plenty of the white stuff on the ground to make things look all nice and pretty. So I had to get out this morning and see if I could […]

After our little snowfall yesterday (about 17″ at home), and the sun & clear blue skies of this morning, I figured I needed to head out and catch something along the Thames River. As things worked out, I was able to catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2 at a new […]
OK, almost caught up. This is a quickie from last Thursday morning – another cold and blustery morning. This time, instead of the P&W, I caught the New England Central heading north through Montville.
Continuing to catch up here – this one is from last Wednesday morning, which was pretty windy & cold. I met up with Nick Palazini and David Telesha to shoot Providence & Worcester train NR-2 along the Thames River.
With the pretty much fiasco of last Thursday night on my mind, I really wanted to “redeem myself” and get some decent shots without destroying any more of my gear. So on Friday I headed out to try and catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2. Figured that was pretty safe […]

This morning I had a bit of time in my schedule to get out for a bit. But it wasn’t the usual time – it had to be a bit later. So catching Providence & Worcester train NR-2 at some of the usual spots along the Thames River wasn’t in […]
On the first day of December, I had a small hole in my daytime schedule to get out for a bit. But as sometimes happens, things don’t go as planned. As I usually plan on doing, I was going to bag Providence & Worcester train NR-2 in Ledyard, and perhaps […]
Tonight I had to head into Willimantic to run an errand, but like the other night, I got a little sidetracked (pun intended) as I crossed over Bridge Street by the New England Central.
Quite literally for years I’ve been hoping to get an across the Thames River meet between the Providence & Worcester and New England Central Railroads. Yesterday, that meet was missed by only about a minute or so. So close, and yet so far… But that’s OK, I got to take […]
