Recently I put on a slideshow for the New England/Northeast Railroad Prototype Modeler’s Meet in Canton, CT. The show was titled “Beyond Mikado Reborn” and featured photos that appeared in my article in the March 2012 issue of Railfan & Railroad magazine, as well as many others that didn’t make it into the article. It’s a retrospective look back at the reconstruction of the Valley Railroad’s 2-8-2 No 3025 over about the last year of the project. The slideshow also includes a number of photos of the Mikado in action – from her first night in revenue service, to some photos from the Lerro Productions photo charter in May 2012.
I’ve made the show available on YouTube – there’s no narration or music, just the photos. Also, in the lower right corner is the date and time the photo was taken, just to give you an idea of how the project progressed over time.
