Another hazy foggy morning today – but nothing like yesterday – at least I could see more than 100 feet in front of me. And I ended up bagging both New England Central train 608 and Providence & Worcester train NR-2 within a couple miles of each other.

Today I got out a bit later than normal, so time was a bit short. But despite the chronological limitations, things ended up falling into place very nicely. Three ships, two trains and a bridge in a short time span. And to top it off, some serious fog was hanging […]
I actually was able to get out on time today for my walk, and good fortune would smile on me today – not only did I get a really nice walk in, but I caught New England Central train 608, Providence & Worcester train NR-2, Amtrak Acela train #2150 and […]
Busy day again at work today, so I didn’t get out until a bit later than usual. By the time I got out, Providence & Worcester train NR-2 was already at the signal in Groton waiting to head west, but they’d need to wait for a couple Amtraks and a […]
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you’ve got no clue whatsoever what the heck I’m talking about. Keep reading and you’ll find out. Yes I did get out for my walk this morning, albeit a bit later than usual, but I still did manage to catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2. Yep, that’s […]
I had to go into work late this morning because of a doctor’s appointment. Of course, the trip from the doctor’s office to work had the scanner scanning away on the dash of the car. In Franklin, CT I caught something different from the norm – a New England Central […]
The hazy days of summer are still hanging on around here. But I did manage to get out for my walk today, and catch some action – both of the rail and nautical variety. I bagged Providence & Worcester train NR-2 at Mill Cove in Ledyard, took a few shots […]
OK, I know you Providence & Worcester railroad aficionados are all asking “what the hell is NR-1 – there’s a couple jobs that work the Norwich Branch out of Plainfield, CT, NR-2 and NR-3, but no NR-1 nowadays you idiot!” Well, don’t let your panties get in a bunch folks […]
A bit behind again today. I did get out yesterday and shot Providence & Worcester train NR-2 up along Stoddard Cove in Ledyard, CT, as well as an unusual move over the Thames River drawbridge. I also did get out today and bagged NR-2 at Mill Cove, then shot some […]
Well, the weather was crappy today, and I was swamped at work, so I didn’t get a chance to head out for my normal morning walk. Not a big deal – I forgot my umbrella anyways. So I scanned in a couple more 6×9 frames from the Graflex Pacemaker 23 […]
