I got a chance to develop the roll of film I shot with my ancient Zeiss-Ikon Nettar 515/2 folding 6cm x 9cm camera last Friday. Here’s a couple scans from that roll. Pretty sweet camera, especially considering it’s somewhere around 60 years old!
A quick note – these were all shot on Kodak T-Max 400 speed film and processed in the bathroom/darkroom with D-76 developer.
First up is the black & white rendition of this shot – NR-2 heading across the causeway with an empty bench in the foreground (see the link above for the symbolism of the empty bench).

Not too bad, especially considering there’s no through the lens viewfinder on this camera – only an approximation of the field of view.
Next up is NR-2 heading across the Thames River drawbridge as work progresses.

Not too bad overall – I’m pretty happy with this camera. Next up is the Graflex Speed Graphic. I just ran a roll through it today as a test – looks like my modification to keep the 6×9 roll film back on it is working fine. If I get a chance tomorrow, I’m going to take some railroad shots with it to see how well it works in the field. Stay tuned!
Thanks for looking!
