Finally feeling better so I’m back to work, and starting to get back into the swing of things. I was actually back at work yesterday, but had to skip the sunny skies for playing catch-up for my time out sick. But this morning I had a couple meetings get rescheduled so I took a few minutes to head out and catch something as the rain continued to fall here in southeastern Connecticut. As things turned out, it worked out rather well despite the less-than-stellar weather. But, then again, the crappy weather never stopped me before (see here and here).
Not feeling exactly all that wordy today, so I’ll once again keep things brief. I ended up catching P&W NR2 at a couple spots in the rain – Mill Cove in Ledyard, and at Shaw’s Cove in New London. Also at Shaw’s Cove, I caught an Amtrak track car, as well as train 171. And this was all from a somewhat new angle I’m exploring. But not everything I shot is below – you’ll have to wait for that stuff…I’m actually pulling together a bigger project that I can’t talk about yet. But once it gets gelled a bit more, I’ll be sure to share some details here first.
Anyways, here’s the goods from this morning’s rainy adventure on the two sides of the Thames River.
[cpg_album:701]Thanks for looking!

Glad to see that you’re finally feeling better though I sure hope you didn’t catch a cold out in that chilly rain we had yesterday!
The Amtrak pictures made me hopeful that all the talking I did to my Mom yesterday about taking the train down to Florida in June paid off. Would be nice to be riding the train for a change and not just sitting by the side of the tracks waiting for one to come by!
Thanks Linda! Yeah, feelin’ better – wasn’t raining that hard when I was out, so no issues. I’m actually sitting on an Acela right now heading to NJ for work (pulling into New Haven as I type). Gotta love the WiFi on the Acelas!
