Saturday brought two things – work around the house (as in installing our new flagpole), and then heading south to catch the Providence & Worcester passenger extra on the Northeast Corridor between Providence, RI and Groton, CT – a section of track rarely used by P&W trains. The extra was […]

OK, the second installment for tonight. Yeah, I missed a day, but I haven’t had a chance to process the images from the 11th yet. Watch for those either later tonight, or tomorrow evening. And they’re nothing special – just NR-2 at Mill Cove, Fairview Yard and the Thames River […]
OK, here goes. First up is from last Wednesday the 10th. I had to go on a quick business trip to Kalamazoo, Michigan for the day. But the meeting we were going to be attending wasn’t at the office out there, but rather it was at the Gilmore Car Museum! […]
Holy crap it’s been a while! Almost a week, in fact. Just been downright busy at home and at work, so time is somewhat limited. But never fear, I’ll be catching up later on tonight. Here’s what you’ll see in the upcoming posts: Some of the usual P&W NR-2 and […]

Well, I got out late again this morning – but I figured it was worth a shot to see where I could pick up some action. As things unfolded, it turned out that a mile or so away was far enough to catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2, Amtrak train […]
Well, if you’re in the northeast, you know we’re having a bout with some summer like weather – mid 80’s and humid. So I figured I’d scan in a couple older winter shots. Here’s a couple from the Valley Railroad‘s eagle watching trip that happened on February 15, 2003. It […]
Another hazy foggy morning today – but nothing like yesterday – at least I could see more than 100 feet in front of me. And I ended up bagging both New England Central train 608 and Providence & Worcester train NR-2 within a couple miles of each other.
