Well, I can’t say the Lehigh Line here in northern New Jersey is dead. Ended up catching two trains before work this morning, and another five this evening – one of which was at two spots. Can’t complain about numbers like that…especially in comparison to what I’ve got to shoot back home – a couple freights a day… Well, also I headed up to Morristown last night to check out the Morristown & Erie shops – not much going on, but I did take a couple shots while there.
It’s getting late, so I’ll keep things brief. Last night I headed up to Morristown to see what was outside the Morristown & Erie shops and if they’d be photographable from the Staples parking lot. When I got there, there was only one ALCo outside of the shops, and an FL9 on the side, but you could only see the rear of it. So I only shot the ALCo.
[cpg_album:703]And today I headed out at dawn and set up shop in Manville by the water tower. I got two trains in the morning fog there – westbound autorack train 11J, which was soon followed by eastbound intermodal train 22V. Train 212 was also in the picture behind 22V, but I didn’t have time to stick around.
[cpg_album:704]Then finally was this evening. After work, I headed down to Flemington and managed to catch empty trash train 64J (well, the tail end of them), manifest 32A, local H76, loaded trash train 65J and manifest 33K. I also bagged 65J again further west in Annandale when they followed H76 west.
[cpg_album:705]And that was it for today. Not a bad Wednesday…
Thanks for looking!
Tom

Love The Photos Tom. Too Bad I Don’t Own A Vehicle. I Would Love To Out There Taking Photos Of Other Engines Besides The P&W.
