margin: 10px;\" title=\"Selkirk Fuel Racks\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.nanosphoto.com\/gallery\/albums\/userpics\/10001\/thumb_114.jpg?resize=99%2C150\" alt=\"\" width=\"99\" height=\"150\" \/>Like I had talked about back on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nanosphoto.com\/blog\/2009\/07\/02\/shoot-it-while-its-here\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">July 2nd<\/a>, shooting the run-of-the-mill stuff shouldn&#8217;t be considered boring, because one day you might wake up and it&#8217;ll be gone.\u00a0 Well folks, it happened again.\u00a0 Those of you who have been up to the CSX yard at Selkirk, NY are probably familiar with Ben&#8217;s Bridge, which carried Jericho Road over the center of the yard.\u00a0 Ben&#8217;s Bridge has been a railfan favorite pretty much forever, and I know I&#8217;ve shot from the bridge a number of times &#8211; the shot to the left was taken from the middle of the bridge (incidentally the fuel\/sand racks that surround the power are now gone also).\u00a0 Well, those shots are no longer possible.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Yep, Ben&#8217;s Bridge is now officially closed.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timesunion.com\/AspStories\/story.asp?storyID=817316\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the story from the Times Union<\/a> on the bridge removal.\u00a0 Yes, I said removal and not replacement.\u00a0 According to the TU story, they did a study, and the most economical option was removal of the bridge.\u00a0 And as of July 7th, as the story indicated, the bridge is closed.\u00a0 See <a href=\"http:\/\/naphotos.nerail.org\/showpic\/?photo=200907072103451280.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this picture<\/a> over on NERAIL by Gary Schemerhorn for the now blocked off bridge.<\/p>\n<p>Anyways, here&#8217;s a few pictures from Ben&#8217;s Bridge that I&#8217;ve taken over the years.\u00a0 I think I&#8217;m going to go back through my slides and scan a few more in for old time&#8217;s sake&#8230;<\/p>\n[cpg_imagefixthumb:46] [cpg_imagefixthumb:55] [cpg_imagefixthumb:1591] [cpg_imagefixthumb:1603] [cpg_imagefixthumb:1604]\n<p>And a panoramic shot I took with a little Canon point &amp;
