New England Central train 608 was working the Willimantic Waste\/CC Lonsbury area &#8211; well out of easy photo range.  So I decided to check out the two cars that were on their sides as a result of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nanosphoto.com\/gallery\/thumbnails.php?album=78\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NECR derailment in Mansfield, CT<\/a> that happened last December.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Well, it was about 32 degrees F when I got there, and let me tell you, the spilled soybeans sure do stink!  If it smelled that bad when the weather was this cool, what will it smell like on a balmy 90 degree and humid summer afternoon?  Yikes!  Anyways, here&#8217;s a few shots of the cars and some detail shots of them laying around.
