\"\"Yesterday, despite the rain, I was able to get out to fit in a walk, and of course catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2 in Ledyard.\u00a0 At least this time of year some of the trees are in bloom.\u00a0 Too bad it was too early to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a nice cold cerveza.<\/p>\n

I got out a bit later than I usually would have, and as it turned out, the timing was nearly perfect.\u00a0 As I was leaving the parking lot, NR-2 reported that they were south of MP12 and about 15 minutes from the Sub Base.\u00a0 I should get up to Mill Cove with a couple minutes to spare…<\/p>\n

Not long after getting on the scene in Ledyard did NR-2 report they were south of MP5, and started coming into earshot.\u00a0 So I got out into the rain and got ready for the shot.\u00a0 This time I did have one goal – there was a flowering dogwood tree at the south end of the cove that I wanted to incorporate into one shot.<\/p>\n

So I got my normal range of photos along the cove, and also included not only that dogwood shot, but also a pan shot of the last car of the train.\u00a0 Oh, yeah, forgot to mention, that the entire train was Tilcon hoppers.\u00a0 No other freight today.<\/p>\n[cpg_album:544]\n

With the rain, and my packed schedule for the rest of the day, I headed back to the office instead of finding out if NR-2 was going east or west on the Corridor.<\/p>\n
