I’m down in New Jersey again for a couple days with work.\u00a0 And as I have done before, the camera bag came along for the ride.\u00a0 But this time, the Lumedyne setup made its way into the bag.\u00a0 After I checked into the hotel, and got dinner, I went out looking for something to shoot.\u00a0 After striking out at a couple spots, I headed for a location where I knew there would be something – at least a GG-1 and a couple F units.\u00a0 When I got there, I got a little surprise…<\/p>\n

After I got dinner tonight, I headed out looking for something to shoot after dark. \u00a0 So I headed for Manville to see if I could catch any NS action.\u00a0 After driving around a bit, I came across nothing.\u00a0 So I headed a bit west to Neshantic Station.\u00a0 Again, nothing.\u00a0 After looking at the maps, I decided I’d head to Lebanon, NJ, which is where the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey<\/a> stores some of its equipment.<\/p>\n I got there, parked and started looking around.\u00a0 Something odd caught my eye on the west side of the grade crossing – a pair of red marker lights.\u00a0 What was that?\u00a0 A quick walk over gave me my answer.<\/p>\n It was a restored observation car.\u00a0 After doing a bit of research when I got back to the hotel, it’s a former New York Central 20th Centruy Limited obs car – specifically #43, the Hickory Creek<\/em>.\u00a0 Cool!\u00a0 So I went around and shot some of the equipment there.\u00a0 And without any further blabbing, here’s the goods.<\/p>\n[cpg_album:506]\n Thanks for looking!
