OK, going back to the start of the week – before we had to bring my daughter to the hospital<\/a>.\u00a0 I was able to get out and catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2 after the previous weekend’s snowfall.\u00a0 It sure was a cold morning, and I really didn’t look forward to standing out in the cold waiting for the train.\u00a0 Luckily, I had a little help in coming up with the timing.<\/p>\n

Short version is this:\u00a0 I got a call from Nick Palazini and David Jodoin who were chasing NR-2 out of Plainfield.\u00a0 They let me know when the train was southbound out of the yard – and the fact that the lead unit’s pilot was caked with snow.\u00a0 So that gave me a good idea of when they’d be down in the Ledyard area.\u00a0 I was able to get to Mill Cove about a minute or two before the train – and about a 50 seconds before Nick & David (they got screwed by traffic on I-395).\u00a0 I also got a couple barge shots down by EB on the way into work.\u00a0 NR-2 was working the yard and Spicer Gas, so I headed back to work instead of hanging around in the cold.<\/p>\n[cpg_album:493]\n
