\"\"On Tuesday the 9th,\u00a0unfortunately\u00a0New England Central train 610 put some loaded ethanol cars on the ground in Willimantic yard. \u00a0With a sick daughter home from school, and Jill working, I couldn’t get out to photograph it. \u00a0But later in the evening I did get a chance to head out and get a few night shots of R.J. Corman working on the cleanup of the mess. \u00a0It wasn’t from an ideal angle – the fire and police were keeping the public a good distance away – but I tried to get a flavor of what was going on.<\/p>\n

I ended up shooting from the Frog Bridge through some tight mesh chain link fence. \u00a0Despite the narrow mesh of the fencing (I’d say about 1\/2″ to 5\/8″ mesh – I didn’t have a tape-measure handy), the pictures came out pretty well. \u00a0All are shot using only available light, and obviously on a tripod. \u00a0If you look at the full sized version in the gallery, you can see how Corman is moving the cars.<\/p>\n[cpg_album:802]\n
