Well, simple – it takes a little while to set up the flashes and test everything out before the train gets there – not quite as easy as shooting in the daylight. Either way, I was happy with what I got, and made my way back home in the early hours of the 11th. Too bad the entire consist was non-NECR equipment. GMRC coaches, which is the standard for NECR excursions, and the power was a pair of GP40s – one FEC and one RMPX (ex-CN)

[cpg_album:747]

Thanks for looking!
Tom

On Saturday July 10th, there were a number of Independence Day fireworks displays planned, including New London and my hometown of Lebanon. Since we usually go to the hometown show, New London was out for us this year. So that would also mean I’d miss shooting the New England Central Railroad’s fireworks extra, which would […]

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

31,2
14,21,110,7,59,111,253
0":"post-1891","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-night-photography","7":"category-rail_photography","8":"tag-connecticut","9":"tag-ledyard","10":"tag-lumedyne","11":"tag-new-england-central","12":"tag-new-london","13":"tag-night","14":"tag-stafford-springs","15":"czr-hentry
["GET
