We’ll keep things short today (it is getting late, after all). \u00a0Yesterday morning I had a bit of time to head out and shoot P&W NR2 at Fairview Yard in Groton, and again along the Niantic Bay Boardwalk. \u00a0As bonus #1, I also caught Amtrak 171 at Niantic. \u00a0And bonus #2 was that they dropped two loaded lumber cars at Ring’s End Lumber in Niantic, so I shot that as well. \u00a0Then in the afternoon as I was heading out of the office, NR2 was coming through New London, so I was able to bag them along Mill Cove and Red Top in Ledyard, getting the ever-changing northbound trip back to Plainfield under nice and sunny skies – a stark contrast to the fairly heavy overcast earlier in the day.<\/p>\n
