But this was no barbecue dinner.  I then remembered that today was Flag Day &#8211; the American Legion was burning old worn &amp; tattered US flags in their annual flag burning ceremony on the green.  So of course I pulled over &amp; grabbed some photos.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Speaking with one of the Legioneers, they destroyed about 2,600 copies of Old Glory today, about 1,000 of which were from veteran&#8217;s graves around town. The rest were collected by the Boy Scouts and Legioneers over the past year for today&#8217;s ceremony.
