\"\"After our little snowfall yesterday (about 17″ at home), and the sun & clear blue skies of this morning, I figured I needed to head out and catch something along the Thames River.\u00a0 As things worked out, I was able to catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2 at a new spot for me – someplace that Bob LaMay has shot at a bunch of times before.<\/p>\n

While scouting out a location to shoot NR-2, Bob called me to see if I had heard anything from them yet.\u00a0 Since I hadn’t heard anything, and he hadn’t seen anything (he was near MP8 in Preston), we figured they were still well north of us.\u00a0 So I decided to head north and meet up with Bob there.\u00a0 Just after I got off the phone with him, NR-2 hit the Jewett City detector.\u00a0 Perfect…<\/p>\n

I got up to the spot (after stopping at McD’s for a coffee), and met Bob and his friend Dick Sobielo.\u00a0 We chatted for a while, then NR-2 came into view.\u00a0 We rushed to get into position (I missed a shot I wanted to get – maybe next time…), and got a few shots of the short NR-2 passing by us in the snow.<\/p>\n[cpg_album:657]\n

At that point we bid each other farewell – Bob & Dick were heading out on the Shore Line, and I was heading to the office.\u00a0 Not bad for a quick stop in snowy Preston.<\/p>\n
