OK, finally getting a chance to free up the logjam of pictures I’ve got here.\u00a0 This one goes back to September 16th when I was able to get out and catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2 along the Thames with Nick Palazini and Dave Blazejewski, who is down visiting his native Rhode Island from his now home of Alaska.\u00a0 And to cap things off, I caught a sub returning on my way to the office.<\/p>\n
So Dave was down from Alaska to visit for a while, and Nick had asked if I’d like to meet up with them at some point.\u00a0 Always wanting to put faces with emails – Dave & I have corresponded over email before – I made sure I had a little time in my schedule to meet them and catch NR-2 in the process.\u00a0 Oh, yeah, if you’re curious, click here<\/a> to see some of Dave’s work on Railpictures.net.<\/p>\n So we decided to meet up at Mill Cove in Ledyard after they bagged NR-2 leaving Plainfield.\u00a0 From there, we headed down to the bottom of Fairview Yard, then over to Groton tower.\u00a0 After that, I had to head back to the office, while the guys headed out to catch NR-3 coming south.<\/p>\n That’s the short version.\u00a0 Here’s the pictures from that morning.\u00a0 Oh, yeah, and like usual, I made Dave & Nick part of a few of my shots…sorry guys, I had to…<\/p>\n[cpg_album:610]\n Thanks for looking!
