OK, getting late, and I’m getting a bit lazy. So I’m going to do like the cable company advertises, and bundle a couple posts together. This one is from September 24th and 29th of Providence & Worcester train NR-2 at, yep you guessed it, Mill Cove. Well, the 29th also has a couple shots of NR-2 heading down track 4 in Groton to Tilcon at Midway as light engines, presumably to pick up empties. Anyways, read on for the stuff.
The 24th was pretty uneventful – NR-2 rolling south along Mill Cove under sunny skies. And the 29th was about the same – except NR-2 consisted of a pair of locomotives and one hopper car. That was until they got to Fairview, where they dropped the car, and headed over to Track 4 in Groton to go east to Tilcon at Midway as a pair of light engines. Now that the back-story is done, here’s the goods.
