OK, running a bit behind with the blog posts. Been busy at work, and now I’m down in Hershey, PA on a mini-vacation with the family. Yes, that means I missed the swap out of the Thames River drawbridge. Oh, well…you can’t win ’em all, I guess. I did get close, but you’ll read about that in a few posts. For this one, we’re talking about Providence & Worcester train NR-2, Amtrak train 171 and some shots of the Thames River draw.
Since it’s been a while since I shot these, I’ll just throw the images up. That, and I’m kinda tired from walking around Hersheypark all day today… So here’s the goods. We start at the USS Nautilus, then down to the drawbridge to get some shots of the John Deere pounding away at the counterweight, and then a bit further south to catch NR2 and Amtrak train 171 crossing the Thames, then finally a couple shots of NR-2 across the river in New London.
