August 27th – a Friday – graced us with some beautiful weather – and a half day at work for me. That ended up translating into two trains and a submarine that crossed in front of my lens. The odd thing was the power used on one of the trains […]

On August 19th, there was a loaded unit ethanol train haded off to the Providence & Worcester Railroad by the New England Central Railroad in New London, CT. I managed to get out for a bit and shoot part of their trip north towards Worcester, MA. Along the way I […]
Continuing with the catching up theme – here’s one from July 7th. Managed to get out for a quick run up to Gales Ferry, catching Providence & Worcester train NR-2. On the second stop, I also managed to catch a quick shot of New England Central train NERWNE heading north.

My favorite time of year for shooting photos is winter time – cold, crisp air with the pure white snow on the ground, matched with some of it clinging to the bare tree branches, and of course a train rolling through it, giving the scene that New England post card […]
As seems to be the recent norm for me, I’m running a bit behind on my postings. I did manage to get out a few times last week, and caught some Providence & Worcester and Amtrak action along the Thames River. So we’ll keep this brief and just let you […]
