For the past couple weeks, there have been talk and sightings of a coach destined for the Valley Railroad in Essex, CT. Well, it finally completed the last leg of its journey from New Hampshire to Essex this morning on Providence & Worcester train NR-2. And as things worked out, […]

OK, a bit of catching up to do tonight. I actually managed to shoot a bit last week, and got stuff from every day except Tuesday. Not bad overall. And it consisted of Providence & Worcester NR-2 and New England Central NERWNE (formerly known as 608) at a few locations […]
As things worked out today, I was able to get out a couple times – the second time being an on the fly, but pretty successful run. And both times I was able to explore some new angles – the first one was more of a tweak, but the second […]
Yes, that title is a poor attempt at a rhyme. But anyways, today is my 40th birthday, and I was able to head out for a few minutes this morning and catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2 in Groton and New London. Despite the cloudy morning, I ended up with […]

Gloomy, gloomy skies. Seems like that past few weeks have seen nothing but clouds, rain & storms. Well, this morning was no different – overcast, but no rain. But with a small hole in my schedule I decided to head out to see what I could see on a walk. […]
OK, finally uploaded a few days worth of stuff from the past few weeks. Here we’re going back to January 28th and one of our many snowstorms (yay!). I was able to catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2, an eastbound Amtrak Acela, and an Amtrak Northeast Regional. The P&W was […]
After work tonight, I stuck around the Groton area to photograph the conjunction of three solar system bodies – the Moon, Jupiter and Venus – in the evening sky. Luckily the clouds cooperated again and I was able to get some decent shots of the trio in the sky.
