I guess I’m quite a bit behind again. So to catch things up, I’m just going to do a few posts that’ll bunch things together. For the first of the house-clearing posts, here’s a few shots from the end of November. Actually, it’s not everything from the end of November – it’ll […]

Yep, once again I’m running a bit behind on blog posts. But trust me, I’ve been out there shooting, so you’re in for a flood of photos pretty soon – including plenty of Valley Railroad North Pole Express trains in the dark, a trip out to Thomaston, CT to ride […]
A couple weeks back on my way into work, I noticed a freighter sitting at the New London State Pier getting ready to unload. I figured it was worth a shot to try and get out and get a few shots of the ship a little later that morning – […]
The next edition of Trackside with TRAINS.com is up on the magazine’s website. This time around the theme was “Industrial Scene” – something I don’t have much material on at this point. So I dug through the archives and grabbed a shot of a loaded Johnson City bound coal train […]

On Tuesday the 9th, unfortunately New England Central train 610 put some loaded ethanol cars on the ground in Willimantic yard. With a sick daughter home from school, and Jill working, I couldn’t get out to photograph it. But later in the evening I did get a chance to head out and […]
This past Monday evening the Providence & Worcester Railroad ran an empty ethanol extra, symboled K667, down to New London. As the timing worked out, I was able to get a quick shot of them shoving back into the New England Central yard. But I did this one a little […]
On Saturday November 6th we decided to take a ride to nowhere – no plans, no objective, just the four of us and a full tank of gas. We figured we’d head northwest – the weather was supposed to be nicer out that way. But even if it wasn’t we’d […]
