In continuing with my slide-scanning binge, I decided to dig out a few of my photos of the Housatonic Railroad – one of the least photographed roads in my catalog (something I hope to remedy over the summer). Looking at the shots, though, it appears that the last time I shot the Houssy, with the exception of stuff up on the Berkshire Scenic Railway, was in 2003. Yep, it’s been 7 years since I headed to the western region of the state to photograph this short line. But here’s a look back at a few HRRC photos from nearly a decade ago.
I was up there on a couple occasions – once in March when it was chilly and cloudy but NX-13 was running, and once in August when it was nice and sunny, but nothing was moving. I guess you win some, you lose some. Here’s a few photos from each trip up to the northwest corner of the Nutmeg State.
