Talk about a quickie this morning. In a span of about 20 minutes I was able to get out of the office, drive up to Mill Cove and shoot Providence & Worcester train NR-2 this morning. Yep, it was fast, but, hey, there were blue skies! And the weather geeks are talking about rain for the rest of the week…had to take advantage of it!
Yep, as I left work to try and catch NR-2, they called south of MP12 and about 20 minutes from the sub base. OK, could I get up to Mill Cove in time? I figured it was worth a try. So off I went.
Short story is this – as I was pulling down Long Cove Road off of Route 12 (and I might have been s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g the speed limit a bit…), NR-2 reported to the dispatcher that they were south of 5. OK, this would be close…
As I got off of Long Cove Road, and took a left onto Military Highway, I saw NR-2s headlights just north of Red Top. Perfect! Enough time to park the car, get out, and get the cameras ready.
Once they came into view, I took a trio of shots as a short NR-2 rolled along Mill Cove.
[cpg_album:607]With that in the bag, I headed back to the office – had a busy day ahead of me. And not just office stuff…read the next post for that one…
Thanks for looking!
