P&W NR-2 in Norwich

I took a half day from work to watch the kids (my wife had an appointment), so on the way home I ran into Providence & Worcester train NR-2 heading north through Norwich, CT.

It was a gloomy, misty kind of afternoon, so the shots turned out OK at best. But they’re definatley something different – I’ll have to explore these areas again in the future. But they’re definatley afternoon shots with the tracks on the eastern shore of the Thames River. Morning shots of the train heading south would be tough at best. Anyways, here’s the two better ones. The first one is looking south down the Thames River at the train making its way north, as a fisherman in a kyak drifts past.

And a couple moments later, the train makes it’s way towards the small tunnel that’s under Route 2 in Norwich, with more fishermen in the distance hoping for a bite or two.

That’s it – thanks for looking!
