One more from the backlog before I have to head to work. Here’s some stuff from the 21st – short version is this, an Acela and Providence & Worcester train NR-2 along a short length of the Amtrak Shore Line.
Back on the 21st of October, I was able to head out for a bit, but it was a bit later than usual. By the time I got on the road, NR-2 had reported that they were south of MP5, so that limited my options for catching them to the Thames River bridge area. So I set my sights on that section of track.
As I was getting closer, an Acela was rolling through New London station heading eastbound. So I figured I’d try a shot at the Groton tower now that it’s slated for demolition. After getting the Acela at the tower, NR-2 rolled into the picture, and I got shots of the freight crossing the river, and rolling through New London and over Shaw’s Cove.
