And on to part 2 of three of my last business trip to New Jersey. For this one, the shots were taken on one day – some in the morning before work, and some in the evening after work. And for this one, I covered both the Garden and Keystone States, getting Norfolk Southern action in both.
On the morning of June 14th I had a bit of time to head down to Manville a little after sunrise to see if I could catch anything heading through town. As it turned out, I got two trains in pretty quick succession – one eastbound followed by a westbound.
[cpg_album:877]Then later in the evening I decided to head west to Bethlehem, PA to see if anything interesting was going on out there. After I parked and walked up on the bridge, NS local H71 was pulling out of Allentown yard, heading for Bethlehem. Then a little later on, 261’s power was waiting for Lehigh Valley Rail Management to bring the RoadRailer up so they could bring it west to Chicago. Once they did bring it up, I headed further west to Alburtis where I caught 261 rolling west just after sunset, followed by a long wait and then 64J heading east.
[cpg_album:878]Thanks for looking!
