Monday night, New England Central train NERWNE brought 40 loads of ethanol south out of Willimantic. But instead of bringing them all the way to New London, they tied up in Montville for the night. So first thing in the morning they took the train of moonshine south to New London for the P&W to pick up. Then after lunch, the Providence & Worcester brought the loads north
On my way into the office I heard NECR NERWNE getting their train back together in Montville, so I took a swing by the tracks near MP5 to get a couple shots of them heading south. Later in the day I headed out for a late lunch and caught P&W NR2 bringing the ethanol loads – along with about 20 empty Tilcon hoppers – north along Mill Cove in Ledyard.
