Another busy day at work today kept me in the confines of the fences, so I couldn’t get out for my walk (I did get to walk to the one building that’s the furthest away from mine, so I guess that counts). So I didn’t get a chance to catch any P&W or Amtrak action. Oh, well. At least I had a chance to scan a few slides tonight.
I dug back into the binders to the 2002/2003 timeframe and picked out three for tonight.
First up is a sunset over Griswold Beach in Old Lyme, CT on a late winter evening.

That was shot on Kodak Kodachrome 64 sometime in April 2002.
Next a couple railroad slides. First up is a detail shot of a Connecticut Southern Railroad B39-8’s fuel gauge taken on January 5, 2003.

That one was taken on Fuji Provia 400.
And finally a shot of the Valley Railroad hosting a wintertime excursion for the Connecticut Audubon Society. They Society put on an eagle watching trip from Essex, up to Goodspeed station and return on a cold February day. Actually, I think they ran it on Friday and Saturday, and it snowed hard on Friday. Saturday – the day I caught it – was sunny and cold – which works beautifully for steam locomotives!

That was shot on Kodak Kodachrome 64 on February 15, 2003.
And that’s it for now! Hopefully I can get out tomorrow for some shots. I’ve got the day off Friday, so I have something special planned, though. Stay tuned for that. 😉
Thanks for looking!
