On Memorial Day proper we went to the Manchester, CT parade, and like usual, I wandered around as the parade progressed up Main Street. As the parade moved along, the weather got nicer, and I took quite a few pictures. Nationwide Security Services people were great. The only disappointing part of the parade was the flyover. Usually the CT Air Guard flies A-10s over the parade. Now that the Air Force moved the A-10s to another base, we got something a bit tamer than a Warthog.
This parade lacked the livestock of the Lebanon parade, but made up for it in the military content. The 102nd Infantry had a platoon marching in the parade in full gear, and of course they’re a part of the photos below. Along with one shot of the flyover from a USAF C-21A Learjet.
