Well, here’s another quickie post. At least I’m getting to expose a few pixels lately – it has been a while since I’ve been out. I did leave work early again to help out with the family emergency of yesterday, but I didn’t catch any trains.
On my way out from work, I swung by the overlook south of the Thames River drawbridge to check things out. It looks like the west tower is nearing completion – the superstructure looks complete and the counterweight is hung. Here’s a couple shots

While shooting those, there was a tugboat and a barge coming north, and a small US Coast Guard cutter, so of course I grabbed a picture of each.

And that was it for the few minutes of shooting.

I’ve been enjoying your combination of marine and rail photography during some pleasant winter weather you had in late Jan. I just got finished shoveling two feet of snow from our driveway, and more on the way. Nasty out here in Saginaw MI.
