Now that things are settling down after our recent loss, I’ve got a few things to catch up on here. Here’s the first one – from back on February 24th. Caught a couple trains, along with a northbound barge headed for Dow Chemical up in Gales Ferry.
In the interest of time, I’ll keep things brief. The short version is this – I caught Providence & Worcester train NR-2 at Mill Cove, and headed back south after a few normal shots there. When I caught up to them in Fairview, I noticed the train was stopped for some reason. So I parked, and grabbed a shot of the train sitting there. But both crew members were still aboard the train, and were doing something different – looking south. So I peeked south and found out what they were watching – a Dow Chemical barge was passing through the Thames River drawbridge. So I got a couple shots of NR-2 with the passing barge. After that, I got a shot of Amtrak train 190 crossing the Thames River with the Dow barge in the background. Called it a morning after that.
With the words part done, here’s the photos!
