Well, I didn’t get a chance to get out for my walk today due to a busy day in the office. But I did manage to duck out over lunch for a bit to check things out from the New London side of the Thames River. No trains, but I did check out the progress of the drawbridge replacement project.
Seems that things are still steadily moving along – the contractors are placing the cross bracing between the westernmost vertical members, as concrete work continues on the west pier, mostly in the form of preparation of the rebar that will hold the concrete in place once it’s poured and set.
Anyways, here’s a few photos from the boat launch under the Gold Star Bridge on the New London side of the Thames.
